A Valentine's gift from the Heart!

My parents are so great... Living far from them is not easy.  But they make it so much fun for us! For more holidays, they send a little care package for my daughter.  Yesterday we received a package for Bela, with Valentine's Stickers, a V Day shirt, and a sweet card!

Inside was also an envelope for all of us.  The note read, that there were Valentines FOR me, FROM me, and some I would have to explain!

Bela and I eagerly opened it, and inside were old Valentine's Cards that I had made for my parents when I was a little girl, one that my Grandpa made for me when I was little (he passed away in 1997), one that my sister made me when we were preteens, one from my parents to me when I was little, and then one from a little boy named Christopher that wrote on loose leaf paper.. "Dear Julie, I think you are a fox! Happy Valentine's Day!".  I laughed and cried reading these.

It amazed me that she saved them for all these years.  It meant so much to me.  I cried and cried.. and made a vow to do the same for Bela one day.  Kids in school bring so much paperwork home, and I admit I am guilty of throwing some of it away.  While we cannot keep every little thing, this gift inspired me to keep the little notes she pens to us with a BIG I love you Mommy and Daddy on it.

I just wanted to share this special gift with all of you, and hope that it inspires you in some way!

I LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD!

Julie, you made my day! Just the other day I was telling my girlfriend that I feel like a pack rat! I save everything that the kids make and I am running out of space. Although I have gotten better at picking my favorites, one thing I always do put away are the valentines that the kids make us, or personal notes that we receive! I just love them and what a great idea! I will one day send them back to each one of them! What a a touching story!

That is so awesome, and inspiring! I always have three sets of pictures made...one for me, one for Addison and one for Eden. I vow for each of the girls to have their own album and my hubby and I to have ours too! It's easier said than done, but something I really need/want to do!

It truly was! I think I am going to make a Valentine's Love Album! :)

OMG that is so sweet. I think I will do the same with my baby. That is like the best Valentines Day gift ever!
